Claude Needham

Born: 9-2-51, Sacramento, CA.
Educated: A lot.
PhD.: Molecular Biophysics.

Vocations/Avocations:
Artist, writer, scientist, editor, gold miner, teacher, sculptor, painter, dancer, tree planter, programmer, web developer, jeweler, screen writer, freelance press, game designer, museum curator, and.... Let it suffice to say that I came from a very creative family environment which valued the sciences and the arts -- both equally respected as natural by-products of a creative, questing mind. I seem to recall lots of skate-boarding, bike riding, wooden sticks whittled into guns, fishing, camping, toy rockets, chemistry and Erector sets, broken glass mosaics, poker, tunnel forts, crystal radios, dirt clod fights, Risk, toy figures, model airplanes, Stratego, reading, reading, reading, and the ever present Mad magazine. You know... the usual.

Currently my time is spent in a kaleidoscopic scurry between writing, sculpting, programming, painting, web-design, consulting, game design, jewelry, gaming, freelance press, and miscellaneous art projects.

If the past is anything to go by, which I believe it is, then my future is pretty indeterminate -- at least insofar as specifics are concerned. Most likely I will be eternally involved in one form of creative project or process after another. What the nature of that project may be, or what the specific manifestation of this creativity will be, is left to see.
