Truth or Fib (the game)
(made by)TruthorFib.com

Unfortunately it is the way of the internet that websites come and go. The TruthOrFib.com website had gone. Hopefully the game has gone on to bigger and better pastures. We enjoyed their games and wish them the best.

We played this game with a rather large group.

Time will tell, but I'd be willing to bet that the game changes dramatically at 2, 4, and 6. We played with 9 during our testing.

This game was relatively easy to learn except for one tiny aspect of the scoring. Even when we were playing with the wrong rules we had a great time.

Seems there was a bit of a controversy about how many chips one would win. If you bet one chip would you win one new chip plus your original chip back. Or, would you win two new chips plus your original chip back. After a full game we realized that the game finishes too fast with the high scoring mode. We tried raising the target and we tried a different understanding of the rules. The jury is still out -- so I'd suggest making the rules a little less ambiguous by including an example. All in all, this is a minor point. (No pun intended)

Because of the nature of the game, I believe it will have a very long shelf life. I think the same group can play this game over and over again. If they get tired of it, they can put it down for a while then pick it up again a few months later. It really shouldn't expire.

While we were quite raucous at times, I'd say there was also a thoughtful or attentive component to the game. Because people were trying to fool each other, they were forced to dredge up stories and remembrances that were new and hopefully unknown to the rest of the group. Not easy with a gang that has been around each other for awhile.

The gaming equipment is first class. A cute little lunchbox container with well made components inside.

The game costs about the same as a good bottle of wine. So if you are looking for a game to introduce to friends this is a good bet.

As a regular group game we give this one a definite thumbs up.

Now, when considered as a component in spiritual gaming, we'd have to say thumbs up as well.

This game has a depth and mutability that will shape shift itself to accommodate many different spiritual endeavors.

With no change at all the game is excellent for working with group dynamics -- everything from psychological to Enneatypes to transformational to invocational.

With a few modifications this game can go even further. A definite jumping off point for many spiritual adventures.

So much for the standard gaming review. As far as spiritual gaming goes
